I used "Achieve PMP Exam Success, 2 Edition" to help me prepare for and pass PMIs PMP certification test. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;Margaret Chu, Diane Altwies, and Ed Walker have done it again, with "Achieve PMP Exam Success, 3ed Edition" they have updated this great supplement to the PMBOK. Where I found this guide to be greatest value to me was in helping me to study in groups and by myself. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;I took a PMP Prep class sponsored by a local PMI chapter. I worked in study groups with classmates I met in the prep class. In preparation for the study groups I would read both the PMBOK and "Achieve PMP Exam Success" I would then use the questions at the end of each chapter to quiz myself and my classmates. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;For me I found success in taking a prep class, studying with others; studying for the PMP test, and reading through both the PMBOK and "Achieve PMP Exam Success" lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;Good luck in your quest for your PMP lt;br /gt
Hello, Potential PMPers! lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;When I saw that yet another edition of this book had been published, I felt it my duty to add a brief comment to the reviews. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;Preparing for the PMP is an expensive task, so we must spend our pennies wisely in choosing review materials. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;So, potential PMPers would do well to read my Amazon review of the previous edition of this same book (ISBN: 1932159371; by Margaret Y. This book is designed to be used side by side with the PMIs Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide. The Guide is, of course, the official and formal word. Reading/studying it is another matter. Having the two next to each other allows an understandable plain English description of what the official language says to present two versions, two wordings of the critical points to come across and perhaps to stick. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;This is the third edition of this book, and it matches the PMBOK third edition, commonly called PMBOK Guide 2004. The changes in the PMBOK Guide became integrated into the PMP Exam in September of 2005. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;Along with the book comes a CD-ROM with over 800 practice exam questions which simulate the full PMP test. The post-assessment tests and answers help evaluate your progress and readiness for the exam. Finally the publisher makes available a specialized web site to provide further exam preparation materials. lt;br /gt; lt;br /gt;The approach used in this book is better than that Ive seen in any other prep manual.
