The book was well-written and the photos were lovely. I was disappointed, however, to find that the lives of ordinary women with ordinary incomes were not covered. Most of the women are famous in some way and are quite well off financially. Id like to see Alexandra Stoddard do a similar book. I think it would be more down to Earth.
I have enough of the ordinary in my life. These women have already inspired me with their work; this book allows me to glimpse something more intimate about them. It is because the women who created these spaces are so gifted that I care about them - this is another opportunity to draw inspiration from their example.
