We bought this book to help us plan our Caribbean vacation. The reviews were very informative and gave enough detail on the different resorts to help us make an informed decision. The only thing I would change about this book is the addition of more photos of resorts. However, the author does provide phone numbers and web addresses to enable you to get more information on a particular place. The end result? We found a terrific resort that lived up to all our expectations. A beachfront cottage on a quiet stretch of Caribbean beach which we plan to visit every year. I would not hesitate to use this book again to find another Caribbean resort, but weve already found our slice of heaven.
I knew nothing about the Caribbean. I bought this book, read it carefully, selected a resort based on Showkers nitpicky and thorough information, and had a great time with NO major surprises. Not only is it a tremendously helpful and trustworthy guide, its fun to read. I read it whenever I feel the need to escape, if only in fantasy, from cold, grey New England winters.
